Your baby’s data is yours alone

Short and in plain English — no legalese.

What we store

  • Account: your email and display name.
  • Baby records: the activities you log (feeds, diapers, sleep, measurements, medicine, milestones) and milestone photos, if you upload them.
  • Preferences: language and the selected baby.

Where and how

Data lives in Supabase (Postgres) behind Row Level Security: every record is visible only to the members of that baby’s family. Milestone photos live in a private bucket and are served through short-lived signed links.

Usage analytics

We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand how the site and the app are used: pages visited, features tapped, technical errors and basic browser info. It helps us improve neneco — nothing more.

  • Your baby’s records never reach analytics — no names, no photos, no email. Your account shows up there only as an internal code.
  • We don’t record your screen or your sessions.
  • This data stays in the EU, is never sold, and doesn’t feed advertising.
  • To work, PostHog stores a small identifier in your browser (cookie / local storage).

Notifications in the native apps

If you enable notifications in the iOS or Android app, we store the device token, platform and account session to deliver scheduled reminders. Apple (APNs) and Google (FCM) receive the token and a generic message; we do not send names, photos or reminder text. Delivery depends on connectivity and device settings.

You can disable notifications in Settings or your phone settings. Signing out removes the session’s registration. Tokens not refreshed for 90 days and delivery logs older than 30 days are removed. The website and PWA do not request this permission.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your data. We share only what is needed with providers that operate the service.
  • We don’t show ads or use advertising trackers.
  • We don’t use your baby’s data to train AI models.

Your choices

You can edit or delete any record at any time. To delete your account and all data from families you created, write to hello@neneco.baby — we confirm deletion within 7 days. Families you only joined keep their history; your name comes off those rows. A live Stripe subscription is cancelled immediately (the Stripe customer is kept for accounting).

neneco is a note-taking tool. Estimates (like the next feed) come from your own history and are not medical advice.
